Trainer safety
What the badge means, how trainers are checked, and what families stay in charge of.
Every trainer must hold a current USA Basketball Coach License. We review the license card and a government ID before a trainer can be found or booked. When a license expires, the trainer goes offline automatically until it's renewed.
Players under 18 can't book on their own. A linked parent or guardian books, and confirms they're authorized to do so.
Trainers rent many kinds of gyms and courts. HooperTag doesn't inspect or run facilities — before each session, confirm the place and details directly with the trainer.
HooperTag has no in-app messaging and doesn't read or store conversations. Families and trainers coordinate directly, and trainers should always include the parent when contacting a minor.
Fees go straight to the trainer through PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, Cash App or cash. HooperTag never collects or processes training payments.
Anyone signed in can report a trainer from their booking page. Youth safety and conduct reports take the trainer offline immediately while our team reviews. The trainer is never told who reported.
Every verified trainer signs this before going live.
If a child is in immediate danger, call 911. Trainers can apply on Get verified to train.
