1. What HooperTag is
HooperTag is a community-driven ranking of high school basketball players. Rankings reflect the opinions of players, coaches, and fans who tag players. They are not official rankings, scouting evaluations, or endorsements, and they do not represent any school, league, or governing body.
2. Tagging and nominations
You may tag up to three players per graduating class, per gender, per region, and you may change your tags. Creating multiple accounts, automating tags, or otherwise manipulating results is prohibited; we remove suspicious tags and may suspend accounts. Nominations and suggested edits must be accurate and are subject to review or removal at our discretion.
3. Profile claims
Claiming a profile means you certify that you are the player, or the player's parent or legal guardian, and that the contact information you provide is accurate and yours to share. If the player is under 18, a parent or legal guardian must submit or authorize the claim. Every claim is manually reviewed; approval marks the profile verified and can be revoked at any time. Submitting false information may result in removal of the profile and account.
4. Content you submit
You are responsible for what you submit — names, schools, photos, highlight links, and other information. Do not submit content you do not have permission to share, and do not submit anything unlawful, harassing, or misleading. By submitting content you grant HooperTag a non-exclusive license to display it on HooperTag and in related promotional posts. We may edit or remove any content at any time.
5. Communications
If you provide an email address, you agree HooperTag may contact you about your profile, rankings, player features, events, and HooperTag programs. If you provide a phone number and check the SMS box, you agree to receive text messages from HooperTag; message and data rates may apply and message frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. You can unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in any email.
6. Removal requests
A player, or the parent or guardian of a player under 18, may request removal of a profile at any time by contacting us. We will remove the profile within a reasonable time.
7. Disclaimers and liability
The site is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any ranking, statistic, or profile. To the fullest extent permitted by law, HooperTag is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, and our total liability is limited to $100.
8. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; continued use means you accept the updated version. Questions or removal requests: contact HooperTag through the email address you received from us or through the HooperTag website.
